where is lisa welchel?

I hit the archives. I needed a fix.

I found some fabulous gems. this is a family portrait not to be missed. I need to hit my local LWA, lisa welchel anonymous, and inquire about the frequency of meetings.

You need to pray for her, Katie. Pray that Lisa will find time to write to us. And that she gets her period - because I am sure that she doesn't want to be "blessed" with another child at her age. And pray that she stops having those wicked thoughts about the young man at Hanson's Hardware, who seems oh-so-eager to help her with a hedge trimmer. Pray that she will forgive her husband for watching all that inter-racial porn, and most of all, pray that her schvartzer dealer gets back with a few ounces of blow to get her through to the weekend. Pray, Katie, pray!

I went back and checked out her archives too ... seeing as I am already subjected to Christmas music when I walk into any retail establishment, I decided to hit the Christmas '05 post. She posted her entire annual Christmas letter, and all I could imagine was what, if I received this in the mail, I would do with it. No doubt I would have fixed up the photo with a Sharpie to reflect the changes she mentions ... a few pimples here, some braces there, an extra chin ....

My favorite though, was the way she put the word "christ" in all caps in the word christmas. Subtlety is lost on people like this.

SPEAKING OF ABORTIONS

Menses just commenced. It's 1:14 AM. I was asleep. That felt good. At 12:24, I popped up. I think I'm awake, maybe awakeish is more accurate. I'm always surprised when those handy-soapy-foamy-bottles run out of soap. For some lame ass reason, it never occurs to me that they ever will. They feel so lifetime supply , even though the bottles aren't more than 8 inches tall. Similarly, when I flip on a light switch and the light flickers to its death, I think "Now what?" Duh, schmuckette, you change the fucking light bulb . Intellectually, I know this, yet for some odd reason, it never comes to mind. In fact, a few years ago, my mother walked into my house and said, "Why aren't the lights working?" I said "I don't know, I flick the switch and they don't work." Get Listen Up

Have you seen the infomercial for Get Listen Up ? I thought the idea of a product that turns "Ordinary hearing into Extroidinary hearing" was too camp for words. In the mersh, a hospitable narrator takes you through all kinds of folks using it in church, hunting, watching television, listening to your spawn on the playground, all doable, right? Right. I was sold, too. Until.... my friendly narrator lady said "Listen to what your neighbors are saying about you." Okay, creeparella, how very big brother. Watch the mersh .
