What PoliQ You Ask?

I asked a few heavy hitting political bloggers from all walks of life to answer some poliQ's about why they're voting for Obama/Biden, issues of concern for them, a bit about their background, etc.

One of the bloggers, a favorite of mine, actually is MonkeyMucker. As you know, he's deeply passionate about politics, especially this election and his been blogging a lot of important issues that we need to know about.

Please, please, please check out his answers to the PoliQ, they took my wig off, yo. Some of what he said regarding economics realllllly struck a chord.

After yas finish, don't forget to come back and read Lewchie's magnifique essay and vote! He's already logged one vote and I just posted it today. Daaaayyyyymmmm. Kid's good.

Thanks for the kind words my little dumpling. It was a pleasure to answer your questions and hopefully to put another voter in the Obama column.

I just had to post some answers here since I can't put this on my blog any more.

1) What is your name (nickname, whatever you're comfortable sharing), your age (range), gender, occupation, income bracket (range), how you identify (gay/straight/whatever)? Married/Single/Divorced? Kids (how many)?
Name: blog name-JDC, real name-JDC
Age-43
Gender-Male
I'm a straight white guy who is a member of PFLAG and I'm in a long term monogamous relationship with myself. I’ve cheated, but never been caught at it. I have no children of my own, but I like to borrow some if I’m bored (I always give them back. Not always to the same parents – who can remember all of the time).

2) What are the most important issues to you in this presidential election and why?
Will Eschelon keep monitoring my calls for the key words I seed in for kicks (well, I think I saw alotta in the Bin of Laudnim).

3) Why do you think voters should vote for Obama/Biden, what differentiates this ticket from McCain/Palin?

Well, I think the difference between Obama/Bidden and McCain/Palin is the former never, to my knowledge, have supported shooting wolves from a helicopter. Real manly stuff there McCain..errr, I mean Palin. Does it count that McCain crashed four planes (the fifth doesn’t count since he was shot down)? That has nothing to do with this but for the thin tread connecting helicopters and planes, but McCain crashed four planes.

4) If McCain/Palin wins this election, where do you see our country going in the next four years?

The military will be so decimated that Canada will man-up and invade. They will occupy us for ten years before we join and become Vancouver west.

5) Economically, where do you think this country is today and how do you think Obama/Biden can make a positive impact?

By confiscating McCain’s many houses and selling them. However, this market is killing and I think moving 752 homes across the country would be a hard sell. Besides, they’re all in Cindy’s name since she’s Daddy Warbucks to his Orphan Annie.

6) In the past 8-years, how do you think this country has changed under the Bush regime? Have you been affected by these changes? If so, in what ways?

You can’t say “I want some Bush” anymore without it being taken the wrong way. Now, Anne Coulter tries to sleep with you because she thinks you are Republican.

7) I have read that Palin is considered the new voice of feminism, which is offensive in my opinion. Of equal concern are her views on abortion and the removal of books from libraries. I'd like to know what you think about all of that and how you feel about McCain choosing Palin as a running mate. And what kind of message you think that sends to women?

If you’re a hot Milf no one cares what your qualifications are. Her whole family puts out, but they just don’t understand what rubbers are. Oh well, God will watch over the babies - just like he does for all of the other unwed and under-privileged mothers. I’m sure there are TONS of programs in Alaska to help all of those godless Eskimos.
Shessh, they can hunt and eat all of the wolves in the wild…err, well, if they buy helicopters real fast first.
Wow. These two are brilliant. Katie gave me until October 1 to answer mine. I was intimidated before. Now, I'm practically paralyzed with anxiety.

Both you boys set a very high bar. I'm going to have to go back to work on mine. Well done!

Dr. Monkey tapped me to do the meme, and I was honored. The questions were important because they make us focus on the issues that matter - rather than a cult of personality. I applaud you, Katie.

So today, I am going to Culver City, to the Obama office there, to phone bank for a few hours. How's that for focus?
