This Isn't a Joke

My sister sent me an email about Dita Legends, a new i-eyewear website. Her peeper windshields are all handcrafted and made of platinum, gun metal and every other, how-can-we-charge-more, metal, you can't think of. The above pair of specs are 750 DOLLARS. Take that in for a minute and just sit with it.

SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. Click here for deets. For 750 dollars, those glasses should: dispense advice, provide sexual bliss beyond my wildest expectations and quite frankly, the world should be viewed to my altruistic taste every time I wear them.

Now it's your turn. What would a pair of 750 dollar glasses have to do for you?!?!

If there were breasts pressed up against those glasses every time I put them on, I would consider them a good value.

And I always thought heroin was God's way of telling you you had too much money....I stand corrected.

Restore the balance of ecology for our planet, feed the hungry, bring justice for the poor and disenfranchised, implement world peace and understanding.

Like that.

Now that I am living in a more poverty mode way, I look at things like this differently.

I do own not one, but two (do not ask, ok you can ask) pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses, which together cost not what one pair of those would, but not so far from it.

So who am I to judge?

Would I do it again???? No fucking way.

Coulda shoulda woulda. I am here now and can only go forward. Minus $750 sunglasses.

They'd have to at least fix me a f*cking drink, that's for sure. Sheesh. When I sit and idly wonder what I'd do if I had pissing-away money, $750 glasses never even make the list.

Nothing, unless these so-called "Dita Legends" come with Dita Von Teese. Then $750 is a bargain.

My BFF spent $1,000+ on a pair of glasses at the beginning of the year.

My glasses often run that high, but that's due more to my unusual prescription.

I spend that much because of a funky prescription as well, but my specs are a whole lot better looking than these Dita thingies. Yikes.
